We must elect leaders in education who will put our children first!
We must elect leaders in education who will put our children first!
Texas students need lifelong learning skills to prepare them to be productive in life after graduation.
Kids that are college bound should continue to have opportunities in dual credit college classes and at the same time we should increase the amount of vocational training available in High Schools either onsite or through Community Colleges.
Transparency and Parent involvement should be welcome throughout the academic life of students of all ages in Texas Public and Charter Schools.
TEA and the SBOE need to include teachers when creating policies and procedures that directly impact the classroom.
Content available to students in their school libraries, or in the classrooms should be age appropriate. There is no place however, for sexually explicit content in any of our Texas schools. Students should not have access to tangible material that would be blocked if they tried to access it online.
Transparency should be key to for Parents and guardians to have access to view what their children are learning in the classroom.
Money should follow the student where they want to attend school. Charter Schools are part of this choice and must be kept to the same standards as any other school, to ensure the quality of education meets Texas Standards.
Schools are places of education and not indoctrination. Curriculum and teaching materials should solely be based on factual information.
Ken Morrow
Ken Morrow is the Republican nominee for Texas SBOE Member for District 3 which serves Gonzales, Lavaca, Dewitt, Wilson, Karnes, Goliad, Bee, Live Oak, McMullen, Jim Wells, Duval, Jim Hogg, Brooks and Starr Counties and portions of Bexar and Hidalgo Counties. Ken is the conservative candidate to represent your values in Texas education.
Ken is running to unseat democrat social justice warrior, Marisa Perez-Diaz, who has been the SBOE, District 3 member since 2013. She is in favor of promoting racially divisive curriculum, 'trans' ideology and altering the teaching of our history, all in the name of unhealthy 'diversity, equity and inclusion' efforts.
